Fix: Booking a rental

Booking failures return inline errors from the server action. Read the message literally: item unavailable, duplicate, or past date.

Tip
Work in order from top to bottom. If nothing here matches, capture the exact error text, URL, time, and account role, then ask your business owner or Contact with those details.

Cannot book or “already booked”

  • Cancel a duplicate reservation in My bookings before booking again.
  • If the item is fully booked for those dates, pick different dates or a different item.

Item or date not listed

  • Scroll dates; confirm the business has the item in Inventory and no closure blocks those dates.

These articles describe the HoldKit product surface. Hosted behaviour also depends on your deployment environment (database, SMTP, Stripe, and signup flags). Your owner or host can confirm values in .env when a panel says something is not configured.
