Fix: Business settings

Settings combine saved business fields and server-side environment secrets. If a panel says not configured, the deployment env is empty.

Primary path in the app: /admin/settings

Tip
Work in order from top to bottom. If nothing here matches, capture the exact error text, URL, time, and account role, then ask your business owner or Contact with those details.

Email or SMTP test fails

  • Re-enter host, port, TLS mode, username, and app password; many providers require an app-specific password.
  • MAIL_FROM must be allowed by your SMTP provider as a sender identity.

Mailchimp shows disconnected

  • Confirm MAILCHIMP_API_KEY, MAILCHIMP_LIST_ID, and MAILCHIMP_SERVER_PREFIX on the server; restart after changes.

Customers see wrong onboarding vs live behaviour

  • Review live vs onboarding toggles in Settings; only admins should flip live mode when you are ready for production traffic.

These articles describe the HoldKit product surface. Hosted behaviour also depends on your deployment environment (database, SMTP, Stripe, and signup flags). Your owner or host can confirm values in .env when a panel says something is not configured.
