Fix: Admin dashboard

The dashboard is the first screen after you sign in as staff. If numbers look wrong or links fail, work through visibility, role, and data freshness.

Primary path in the app: /admin

Tip
Work in order from top to bottom. If nothing here matches, capture the exact error text, URL, time, and account role, then ask your business owner or Contact with those details.

Blank page, spinners, or unexpected error

  • Hard refresh the tab, then sign out and back in from the user menu.
  • Confirm the URL is still under /admin on the same site where your business was created.
  • Try another browser or disable extensions that block cookies for this domain.

Counts or “today” bookings look wrong

  • Check your device clock and timezone; booking dates are stored as calendar dates in the business timezone.
  • Open Calendar & bookings and confirm bookings exist for today with a confirmed status.
  • If you recently toggled live vs onboarding mode in Settings, reload the dashboard after saving.

Cannot open dashboard at all

  • Visit /login and ensure you are using a staff account with ADMIN or STAFF role.
  • If you see /forbidden, your user is not allowed into admin; ask an owner to add you under Team / Roles & Access.

These articles describe the HoldKit product surface. Hosted behaviour also depends on your deployment environment (database, SMTP, Stripe, and signup flags). Your owner or host can confirm values in .env when a panel says something is not configured.
