Fix: Rules & availability (holidays & closures)

Availability rules and closures decide which dates customers can book. A day that stays bookable when it should be closed usually means the rule was not saved or does not cover that date.

Primary path in the app: /admin/holidays

/admin/holidays
Tip
Work in order from top to bottom. If nothing here matches, capture the exact error text, URL, time, and account role, then ask your business owner or Contact with those details.

A closed day is still bookable

  • Confirm the closure covers the exact date range and was saved.
  • Reload the customer booking page; cached availability can lag a fresh rule.

Closure blocks the wrong dates

  • Check start and end dates and the business timezone; off-by-one usually means a timezone mismatch.
  • Remove overlapping rules that conflict with the window you actually intend to close.
Note
These articles describe the HoldKit product surface. Hosted behaviour also depends on your deployment environment (database, SMTP, Stripe, and signup flags). Your owner or host can confirm values in .env when a panel says something is not configured.
Important
Never paste live passwords or API keys into public AI chats. Use Settings test buttons or your host’s secure channels only.
